Before founding Velv, Dean Velevski worked as an engineer at Tesla – solving complex problems under pressure, in environments where precision wasn’t optional. That same precision now underpins every shoot day, every interview, every edit.
Most production companies don’t know what they’re looking at when they walk a shop floor. They reach for clichés because they can’t reach for accuracy. Velv exists because manufacturing, engineering, and construction businesses deserve a partner who can see what’s actually impressive about their work – and then make sure everyone else does too.
Dean realised the engineering mindset could apply somewhere outside the factory floor.
Digital marketing was the first stop. First with websites. Then the first serious camera. Then a better one. And another one. The work started getting bigger – brand films, event coverage, full content systems for businesses that needed real production craft.
Velv didn’t pivot from web to production.
It grew into a production company. The films, photography, and content systems are the core – focused on industries where the engineering mindset matters: manufacturing, engineering, and construction. Web work still sits in the offer because the films we make need a home built to do them justice.
